I just got back from a trip, and I’m feeling very inspired to share some of my favorite travel items! Whether you’re taking a road trip or a long flight, having the right travel items can make all the difference in your journey. Below, I’m sharing some of my favorite items that have served me well on both types of trips. Plus, they’re all available on Amazon!

My Top Favorite Travel Items

Backpack – A good backpack is make or break with any trip! For the longest time I absolutely loved the Jartop Elite 17.5″ Backpack by Embark. I love the way the pockets are set up and have a specific way to use the pockets. That way I know exactly where things are when I’m on the go. It fits under the seat on planes so I can quickly grab things as needed as well. My most recent one that I’ve been using is this Large Travel Backpack I found on Amazon. My favorite feature is that you can unzip it and it lays completely flat! Meaning you can easily see everything inside of it to get to what you need. It also has a separate shoe compartment design and wet bag on the bottom. I like the usb charging port on it as well.

Portable Charger – One thing that can really ruin a trip is running out of power on your phone when you need it most! To avoid this issue, I always bring along a high capacity portable charger. I like this Portable Charger with Built-In Cables and AC Wall Plug. I love that it has three options for charging types. It also has a slot for your usb if you need a different type of charger, plus a USB-C charger as well! It has plenty of juice to keep all my devices charged up for days and it doesn’t take up much space either! I have a few of these I keep around the house as well, they’re perfect for kid’s activities and events.

Packing Cubes – Something I’ve recently started using on my trips is packing cubes. I have two different sets that I’ve been using, both are from Amazon. The set I prefer is the Amazon Basics 4 Piece Packing Travel Organizer Cubes Set. They’re a little more sturdy and durable, but their sizing is limited. The second set I’ve been using is the Packing Cubes 7 Pcs Travel Luggage Packing Organizers. These are more flimsy but I love the sizing of them and there’s more options. Make your travel experience more organized with packing cubes! Instead of rummaging through a disorganized suitcase trying to find the clothes you need, use these convenient organizers from Amazon. Still looking for the perfect system? Consider getting a laundry mesh style bag – now all dirty garments can be stored separately and easily identified when it’s time to do some washing!

Headphones – Nothing ruins a journey like having to endure loud and obnoxious companions, but luckily headphones are the perfect solution. Not only do they provide escape from uncomfortable situations, but today’s models come packed with features that make them indispensible for travel. My own set-up consists of both wireless and wired versions – plus an adaptor for my phone – so I’m never caught off guard in those moments when the battery dies on me! Don’t let your next trip be one without these trusty sound wizards by your side!
